NSPCC (in partnership with 02) asked me to create a film that encouraged parents to talk to their kids about online safety. Our idea was to make parents re-evaluate internet safety by putting it in the context of more physical harm that they can understand easier.
The campaign was featured in national and local press and also received thousands of tweets.
In addition to the film, I went above and beyond and designed an app. The idea was that parents loaded the app onto their children's phone which automatically changed the lock screen image to show different safety messages, drilling in internet safety advice every time they look at their phone to go online..
They loved it but ultimately the client couldn't find the budget.
We also planed to follow up our TV spot and app with mobile ads within kids' games. These would test their internet safety knowledge, and direct them to approved advice.
